All of our music performance, education & enrichment programs focus on building confidence and self-esteem, teaching students the skills needed to help them develop a positive mental attitude about themselves and their education in addition to providing the necessary tools that allow each individual to enhance their belief in themselves and their ability to achieve positive results in school and in life.  By introducing fun & exciting songs and dialogue that students instantly identify with and relate to, each student is acknowledged and recognized throughout the entire program keeping them completely captivated, participating and engaged.

 

Our enrichment programs generate pure enthusiasm from all students involving each of them in fun and interactive discussions & exercises including reading, writing, math and communication building music workshops which can incorporate their current classroom curriculums and lesson plans as provided to us by their teacher or school.  Using music as the vehicle to connect with each individual, our programs make each student feel special about who they are and inspire them to reach their greatest potential as human beings. As a direct result, an increase in confidence, and an improvement in communication skills and academic performance is achieved.

 

 

Our Music Enrichment Programs

 

MUSIC & MATH:  Introducing exciting rhythms and counting exercises incorporating a variety of beats and grooves on different instruments.

 

MUSIC & READING:  Examining and deciphering song lyrics and understanding the stories they tell and what they mean.

 

MUSIC & WRITING:  Engaging in composition and song writing while learning the fundamentals of creative writing by creating lyrics through writing poetry & prose.

 

MUSIC & HISTORY:  Discovering different types and genres of music and the heritages of various artists and musicians.

 

MUSIC & MOTIVATION:  Becoming aware of your own personal power to tap into and hone, and the tools needed to immediately shift your attitude and enhance your belief in yourself.

 

MUSIC & IMPROVISATION:  Learning new ways to communicate and express your feelings, ideas, passion and artistry.

 

MUSIC, MOVEMENT & SONG:  Singing along & dancing to familiar and popular songs while learning how your body moves to sound and rhythms.

 

Michael S. Levy, President & CEO of Academy Of Rock, holds a B.A. in Literature & Creative Writing from Binghamton University in New York, and is a multi-talented musician and educator.  Originally from New York City, he resides in Tampa, Florida living with his wife and three children. When not motivating and inspiring students at public and private schools, Mr. Levy enjoys teaching both children and adults music and the art of performance at the Academy Of Rock.
